ASR have merged two locations into one – Cairns North since 2022

ASR Collision Specialists is a vehicle accident repair facility situated in Cairns. We previously had two workshops in Far North Queensland, allowing us to service customers and insurance companies in a large area, however in December 2021 we closed our Edmonton (Southside) shop and moved the same team and equipment to our other location in Cairns North. Our location in Cairns northern suburbs has expanded to a bigger and better premise, being able to service locals efficiently in our bigger premise with the same great team members. Running with Glasurit Water Borne Paint systems, and Car-O-Liner equipment including Automatic Inverter Welders.

ASR Collision Specialists was started in 1978, back when it went by the name Airport Smash Repairs. As the name suggests, we were based near the airport runway, providing many of the services we do today. Due to its commercial success, our company expanded to accommodate our customers in our bigger premise in Cairns North. We are no longer located at Edmonton (Southside), we do however still have the same great team and equipment in Cairns North.

In 2021 we also added Volkswagen in addition to Jaguar and Land Rover as an approved repairer.

2006 signalled a year of great expansion

This was followed by more success in 2006, with an expansion into the southern corridor. This was officially opened on January 2nd, 2007 and our business became known as Airport Smash Repairs Southside. Three years after this, we moved to a bigger and updated premise to meet growing demands, located at 57 Swallow Road in Edmonton. Among other modern features, this workshop includes separate panel and paint shops. The solid wall between the two helps keep our painting area as dust-free as it can be.

Today, both locations are united under the name ASR Collision Specialists and we're dedicated to being the best and most reliable vehicle accident repair business in Cairns.
